Tooth Album Review

Artist - Tooth
Album - That Corporate Emotion LP
Out on a limb records

It’s been many years since I’ve heard Tooth bursting out of my stereo from a cassette copy I had (and unfortunately since lost) of a few tracks from their back catalogue.

So it’s with over caffeinated puppy like excitement I slip this 10 year anniversary edition of Tooth’s ‘That Corporate emotion’ LP from it’s sleeve.

Thanks to a reunion show December 26th last, which had to be seen to be believed, and ‘Out on a limb’ records bringing yet more essential underground rock n’ roll mad laughery to the masses, on the most beautiful of formats, vinyl.
I hear that aural nicotine begin, that unmistakably scrumptious vinyl crackle which then eases into the eerie drum sound of ‘Nonsense’ combined with just enough delicate guitar to bridge the gaps.

These Limerick legends then fill this record with driving, intense and spine disconnectingly good riffs on tracks like ‘First’, ‘Generation Swine’ and ‘Arbogast’. All of which have guitars chugging like a fisherman sinking his first beer after weeks at sea, steady and quenching.

This album with classic status already, has frantic energy in it’s direction that gives you the feeling you’re orienteering on acid, something you’ve got to share with anyone with a pair of human ears that will listen. And they will thank you for it.

Get your mitts on this album now and pleasure your auditory canal!
